A muti-purpose positioning unit designed to position and protect newborns and toddlers during a variety of procedures
Consists of a rectangular shaped pad with an indented channel in the center to allow for chest expansion, a pediatric horseshoe pad and two cylindrical positioning tubes
Suggested utilization of the set are: place pad flat, without tubes, to prevent the patient from rolling while in the supine position. By placing one tube under the pad at the thoracic area, the chest will remain extended for anterior chest procedures. With the small tube under the pad at the thorax and the large tube under the pad at the sacrum, access for posterior supine cases such as spinal tumor resection is optimum
